Job Summary

This position will lead, train and coordinate the workflow of Production Operators in specific assigned departments.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise and train all Production Operators in specified department(s).
  • Ensure a safe working environment for employees.
  • Provide quality resources and training for production employees as needed.
  • Monitor production scheduled and associated work orders.
  • Ensure and follow compliance with GMP’s and MWI’s.
  • Ensure quality levels and expectations for assigned production area.
  • Perform assembly and packaging operations per Router, Procedures, Manufacturing Work Instructions (MWI).
  • Set up, operate, and maintain manufacturing and test equipment and fixtures as instructed. Monitor all equipment performance and notify an Engineer or Manager of any problems.
  • Monitor the quality of raw materials, sub-assemblies, and finished products. Place all non-conforming products in reject bins and communicate discrepancies to Production Supervisor.
  • Follow all safety rules and communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents to Production Supervisor or Manager.
  • Follow line clearance and closure procedures (MWI 60002). Clean work areas according to PROD-3000 Clean room Cleaning Work Instruction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write and speak English in order to comprehend and execute Manufacturing Work Instructions. (MWI)
  • Must have 1-3 years’ experience leading employees in a manufacturing environment
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, written and spoken
  • Ability to interact professionally with all co-workers to enhance teamwork and to foster positive working relationships.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Suite of programs (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to work from prints; attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Preferred Skills & Abilities

  • Medical device background a plus.
  • Good manual dexterity for operating equipment and performing light assembly.
